Presidential Secret Service Detail

The USA Today has a good article on the job the Secret Service does to protect Presidents & Vice Presidents. The last line of the article leaves one with a less than confident feeling, though:

Sometimes, he says, "what you end up doing is (saying) a very long prayer the night before the visit."

'He' in this case is Chuck Vance, a man who led advance security teams from 1965-1979. It is a little disconcerting that the leader of the free world's security is sometimes that insecure.
