Seeing the game in a whole new light
For the first time in many years, I am playing fantasy football this season. A friend is teaching his kid how to play, and they needed an extra to fill out a small four team league. I came into tonight's game in a bit of a hole, and I needed nice nights from Chad Johnson and Frank Gore. Neither had a good enough night to propel me past my opponent, but I was amazed at how having a fantasy football interest in the games change the way I watched them. The games became a completely self serving endeavor, so much so that I found myself flip flopping on who I was cheering for in each game several times. This is going to be an interesting season. I just hope the kid doesn't beat me.
