The musty great outdoors

Storms are in the process of blowing through southern Wisconsin tonight, and it looks like we'll have another couple of days of rain on top of the last several days of rain we've had. I look forward to things drying out if only because my backyard smells like a basement. This has really been a tale of two summers. As of three weeks ago, the grass was so dry that a person could hear it crunch while walking on it. Since then it has been a rain forest around here. Global warming is clearly to blame.
