is a disaster waiting to happen. This is one item I hope I'm very wrong on, but I'd do everything in my power to avoid driving in that thing. Everything about that project in Boston reads like a History Channel documentary on engineering disasters.

The Big Dig. Courtesy of that fine Senate tag-team of Kennedy and Kerry.
The Big Dig isn't an engineering disaster. It was a boondoggle, an example of the power of corruption. It is along the lines of the the $1.5 billion (with a B) gun registry in Canada that still isn't operational.
Like Canadians, the passive people of Massachusetts don't seem overly concerned. I am beginning to think of this apathy as the French disease.
