The Syrian Connection

I think it's pretty obvious to most people who know anything about the Middle East that Syria is likely playing a big role in fueling the Iraq insurgency. Why is there even a shred of doubt on this? I encourage you to view the DVD, "Voices of Iraq." A couple young filmmakers handed out 150 digital video cameras in Iraq to ordinary Iraqi citizens. They told the citizens to film their lives and pass the cameras on to friends and family. The end product is nearly 90 minutes long, which, I believe, was narrowed from thousands of hours of footage. It's excellent.

Also shown in the documentary are home videos Saddam's thugs had made over the years, chopping people's hands off and such. Also, some insurgent videos, like the ones posted on Islamic Web sites, are shown. One of the videos thanks Syria for their help in fighting the infidels in Iraq.

Check this video out. It's fantastic.
