France applies salve to gaping wound

In an attempt to address the problems that precipitated recent riots, France doesn't go nearly far enough:
France will be able to impose fines on companies that discriminate against minorities and on parents whose children skip school, under a proposed law to improve opportunities in immigrant suburbs hit by recent riots, the prime minister said Thursday.
Those two items are all fine and good, but Frances real problem is that socialism has essentially frozen the socio-economic classes in place. There is little to no hope for Muslim immigrants to ever better themselves and become a part of French society. Until France addresses their socialism problem, these two moves will mean nothing. As long as socialism paralyzes the French economy and society, Muslim students will go to school and mock the lessons, and they will continue to be unemployed because a) there is no job growth, and b) there is little incentive to find work.
