Boring old rhetoric, thy name is Arianna

Arianna Huffington has been regaling her readers for a couple of weeks now on her travels about the globe. Huffington, who has taken inherited money and built it into fame and a life of luxury for herself, is poking at the President over his August 'vacation' to Crawford. She plays the 'let's compare the President to the working common man' game in an effort to make Bush look bad. The part Huffington leaves out is that all Presidential vacations are working vacations. Really, the part that makes it a vacation at all is the fact that the President gets to leave Washington. That's about it. When Joe Automaker takes a vacation, he isn't working from home. No, he's out doing fun things without work even entering his mind. The vacation ploy is a cheap shot taken by many opponents of the President Bush every year, and it is deceitful. And from a person of leisure such as Arianna 'Cocktail Party' Huffington, it is almost beyond hypocritical.
