Gay rights' activists have known for years that in order to be legitimate, they needed homosexuality to be genetic and not a choice. If homosexuality is a choice, then homosexuals who, say, want to get married already have rights equal to heterosexuals, namely to marry a member of the opposite gender. If homosexuality is genetic, then they could carve out a beach head for their movement. CW now days is that homosexuality cannot be helped, that one is genetically gay. I resist this belief. Stories such as this reinforce my resistance. The average homosexual activists will scream you down if you even think its possible that maybe their lifestyle is a choice, not a biological impulse.
When it comes to the marriage debate, though, I don't demonize homosexuals, even though I disagree with their position. The problem is that we ever let government get its hands into a religous institution to begin with.
