Q10: Bush's tax & spend

Very good question, btw.

Bush: War line and trend to recession starting before his Administration good. Raise taxes during recession leads to depression-good. Cumulative job growth good. Very effective response. Going to be interesting to see Kerry's response with his tax & spend gap.

Kerry: Gov't has nothing to do with it? What the hell is he talking about? Gov't should never have a surplus. That means taxes are too high. We have not been fighting total war, therefore, we do not need to raise taxes for it. Deficit spending made fashionable by Dems.

Gibson follow up good.

Bush: Bush danced around.

Kerry: Why is this guy making tax cuts seem bad? I ain't rich, and I got one. Kerry disregarding the job losses that occured around an exceptional event, 9-11.
