Doggy suicide

The Independent is reporting today on a rash of doggy suicides in Dumbarton, Scotland. 5 dogs have recently jumped off of a bridge in that city, and experts are trying to determine if there is some sort of an optical illusion which is tricking the pups into jumping.

Personally, I think that somewhere in Dumbarton there is an evil, smug looking toy poodle that is the leader of a dog cult. It sits on its owners lap, shaking that nervous shake of toy poodles, chortling at the thought of these dogs proving their loyalty to him, the dogsiah of the Branch Dogvidians.

Then again, they may have just been really dumb dogs.
