In re a woman's control over her own body

The following is something I jotted down after reading Thomas Friedman's post election column.

Women want control over decisions that affect their bodies. I have no issue with that. In fact, I say hurrah to that. My concern is for the bodies that they carry inside of themselves. Women have a responsibility to look after the welfare of those little bodies, and abortions of convenience are the ultimate abdication of responsibility to those small, helpless bodies.

Isn't it funny how many of those writers who want women to have control over their own bodies are men? And isn't is suspicious that the only "choice" offered is abortion on demand?

I strongly suspect that women are less fanatical about the issue than the average Leftist whose hatred of anything American includes our unborn children. They ought to feel ashamed for declaring war on unborn babies to promote their political agenda. But men like Thomas Friedman are indecent. They haven't got any shame.
